Hiker is a wonderful addition to the breed here in Australia. He is a dog demonstrating stunning type and a beautiful Southern Californian head. He is from Hat Creek and Nik Nak Kennels based in Campo in the very south of California. Hiker is from a successful repeat mating. The first cross produced the gorgeous Hat Creek's No Deposit No Return "Bernie' who was #2 ASCA Conformation dog in 1999/2000.

Hiker is a very sweet dog who loves to express his excitement when meeting new people. After barking loudly to say howdy he will then throw himself at you frequently tripping over in the process. Hiker is a little simple when it comes to obedience but he is good at learning places to be fed and returns often in the hope of a little more being given.

Hiker has strong working instinct and finished his Herding Instinct test with ease. He is rarely seen in the showring due to a long standing back injury.

As well as being a much loved member of Rozate Kennels, Hiker was offered at stud during 2002. Hiker's pedigree is full of dogs with exceptional genetic history for excellent hips, clear eyes and good health. His first litters are showing both type and soundness. Their spectacular start in the showring has been very pleasing. They can be found in almost every state in Australia.
