Aust Ch
"Storm" Colour: BM c/w Storm was my first show aussie and is a fantastic representative of the breed. Like many of us our first Aussie remains our ideal and this is the case with Storm. He is a sweet, loving, intelligent clown of a dog who adores his friends, babies and chasing cats. Storm was lightly shown as a young dog and still titled quickly. The old system of points in Australia did not reward a male or female if they took Best of Breed. Storm frequently won dog challenge over the couple of males shown and went on to win Best of Breed over a number of females which would have seen him title faster. A very sound dog under the standard, he is possibly a little 'old fashioned' as he is taller with moderate bone rather than the shorter, heavier style we see today. Despite being around 22.5 inches he is extremely agile and light on his feet. Storm can stop and change direction with little effort. His side gait demonstrates the desired moderate gait the standard calls for showing good foot timing and excellent drive from his hocks. Storm has overcome a terrible injury on his leg to return to the showring minus his toe and heavy scarring. My thanks to those judges that rewarded this sound moving dog including Runner Up in Group and Reserve Challenge at a Specialty Show despite his injury. He has also attained his HT, CD and CDX in fine style. His obedience titles were earned with his friend Lyn Lock of Kallistar Aussies. As a sire Storm has produced those features that make him an exceptional dog - his puppies get better with age, are easy going with very trainable natures. They make brilliant family members, prepared to play with small children or defend the house against strangers. He is available to suitable bitches who have the required testing (hips, elbows and eyes) at a fee of $500. Owner: Rozate Australian Shepherds
