Banner is my pride and joy. He's also my big teddy bear. He likes to believe he is a lap dog and doesn't understand that he's just a touch too big!

Banner has commenced 2004 in fine style taking out Best Exhibit in Group (Group 1) at the Perth Western Classic Dog Show under Judge: Mr Peddie (Canada). He had a quiet year in 2003 being shown sparingly while I concentrated on obtaining Bobby's Grand Champion title. Banner has now also recommenced training for agility and obedience and we hope to add some more titles to the end of his name by the end of the year.

In October 2002 Banner was awarded Dog Challenge and Runner-up Best of Breed at the Perth Royal Show and in August 2002 I took Banner to the Adelaide Royal Show where he was awarded 1st place in the Intermediate Dog class.

A couple of Banner's other big wins were being awarded Best Exhibit in Group by Mrs D Fenton of New South Wales in July 2002 and then Runner-up Best Exhibit in Group by Mr Bill Godfrey of South Australia in November 2002.

Banner arrived in Perth in March 2000 from Sugargum Kennels in Victoria as a 5 month old puppy. He stole my heart the moment he stepped out of the crate and he took the Western Australian Show Scene by storm being awarded Reserve Challenge Dog, Runner-up Best of Breed and Best Minor in Group at his first show at six months of age. From there Banner continued his success taking out many Best of Breed, In Group and In Show awards. Banner accumulated the required points to become an Australian Champion with ease and was titled at just over 12 months of age.

Banner was awarded Top Australian Shepherd for the Working Dog Club of Western Australia for the 2000/2001 and again for the 2002 show year. In 2001 Banner was also awarded Runner-up Best Conformation Dog, Best Junior and Best Intermediate for the Australian Shepherd Club of Western Australia pointscore competition and was again awarded Best Intermediate in 2002. We are no longer members of this Club and therefore are not eligible to receive any further awards from them.

Banner is a proven stud dog having produced two litters of puppies to Aust Ch Ausbrand Silver Chalice. To see these litters please go to the Double Litter page and the Surprise Litter page. Banner was also used over Sugargum Ruff Patches and a litter was produced in early February 2004 owned by Cynthia Reynolds in Adelaide.
