Breeding Philosophy
We breed on a very limited basis and only when we plan to keep something
for ourselves. First and foremost, we breed for healthy dogs with rock
solid temperaments combined with correct structure, soundness in movement
and classic aussie type. Our goal with each breeding is an aussie that can
win in the conformation ring, then compete in performance venues, play gently
with children and still retain herding instinct. We want them to be able
to do this with classic aussie enthusiasm and humor. Each breeding is planned
with our goals and the betterment of the breed in mind. Structure, movement,
and type are essential for our goals in the breed ring. Just as important
is a sound, willing temperament and the potential to succeed in herding.
Health is extremely important as well. Hip and elbow ratings and CERF are
obtained on all dogs in our breeding program.
We look for loving homes for our puppies that will give them the activity
they crave. Like all Aussies, their minds and bodies need to be kept busy!
It is very important to us to try and match the right puppy with the right
home. An aussie is NOT for everyone! All puppies are sold with full contracts
and are guaranteed against hereditary defects. Pet quality puppies are
sold on limited registration and must be spayed or neutered. All puppies
are ASCA/CKC registered and leave us with appropriate vaccinations, a strong
history of socialization, and a CERF eye exam from a qualified veterinary
ophthalmologist.
