So Near And Yet

Putting the deadline for a rather ambitious project just a week after I finish my (almost) final exams was a bad idea? Who'd have guessed that?

So, much as I would have liked the symmetry of unveiling the new website on the 4th anniversary of the old one, it looks like it just isn't going to happen. There's still a few key details to be taken care of first. This isn't a long delay (with any luck). I'm hoping for a week or less.

So to apologise for the slow running and to embiggen this post to acceptable levels, here's a screenshot of the new site:

Headline Chasing Scumbags

The badly punctuated gossip scumpit that is OK Magazine (there is no way I'm putting an exclamation mark in there) has decided that actually waiting for Jade Goody to snuff it before publishing a memorial issue would be tasteful humane bad for business. Wouldn't want anyone else to get their exclusive now would they. It even runs with the line epitaph "1981-2009".

I'm sure I don't need to write any more but the phrase "contemptible fuckscum" seems just too apropos to leave out.

And for about 5 minutes yesterday evening they were declaring the death of Natasha Richardson after her skiing accident. These people are in such a rush to get exclusives in that any and all humanity is lost. Sorry for lack of humour here but I blame these shitbags.

Money Well Spent

This post on the missayings of George W Bush was on the BBC news website recently.

Without wanting to go on a Daily Mail-esque rant, it's someone's pretty crap attempt at journalism to be compiling things that have been on websites, calenders, posters, and roughly anywhere else you might care to look for half a decade. Splendid use of the licence fee to be rehashing outdated internet fads.

P.S. absolute kudos to GWB for throwing in the 'misunderestimated' remark in his final press conference. 'Self-deprecating 'suits him, even if 'powerful job' doesn't.
