Homosexuality is a dangerous subject to some people, but how are we going to learn anything about homosexuality if we're constantly trying to avoid the topic? That's why we're going to talk about it.

First off, is being homosexual wrong? Yes, according to the bible it is. Is it a sin? The answer to that is yes, also. The question has already been proposed, "How can he say this? I know of many churches that have gay priests and gay bishops. No one ever told me it was a sin!"

Anyone who has ever picked up a Bible and read the first chapter of Romans, would know that being homosexual was sinful and wrong. If they had ever read the 20th chapter of Leviticus then they would know this also.  These are only two spots of many where homosexuality is said to be wrong, but as for the verses mentioned above, just read them and you'll see my point:

Leviticus 20:13 - "If a man also lie with mankind, as he lieth with a woman, both of them have committed an abomination: they shall surely be put to death; their blood shall be upon them."

*If a man has sex with another man, as he would a woman, both of them have committed an abomination.  They will be put to death and their death will be their fault.*

Romans 1:26-27 - "For this cause God gave them up unto vile affections: for even their women did change the natural use into that which is against nature: And likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust one toward another; men with men, working that which is unseemly, and receiving in themselves that recompense of their error which was meet."

*For this cause (homosexuality) God gave them up to their sinful behavior, even their women had given into the homosexual lifestyle, going against the natural way of things.  Likewise, the men had also begun to do this, burning in their lust toward each other.  This being the case, they received the consequences of their actions that was due to them.*

So, it would appear that the bible says homosexuality is unnatural and disgusting.  This is not my opinion alone, I just read the text laid out before me.  It is possible to see how much God hates this sin just by reading these verses.

As far-fetched as this next question may seem, it is happening today in many churches so the it needs addressing.  "If God says homosexuality is wrong, then why is my pastor gay?"

To put it into perspective, let's look at the pastor as a human, not some almighty deity who can do no wrong.  It might be a struggle for the pastor or whoever, and they might know it's wrong but be unable to combat the sin for various reasons.  If the pastor won't change his ways, or "can't", then he should be gotten rid of because he's not really a man of God.  Being a pastor is a calling, not a job.  God appoints people to the office of pastor and if a pastor is struggling so much with this sin in particular, then chances are he's not truly called by God to be a pastor.  God doesn't appoint sinful men to lead congregations of people.  Pastors are the people who should know right from wrong, not choose to ignore right and wrong.  God won't appoint a homosexual pastor to a church, that would lead many people astray from the scriptures.  They'd think, "Well, my pastor does it, so it can't be a sin."  You might disagree with what I'm saying, but look at the scriptures for yourself, don't just take my word for it.
