The following verses are printed directly from the King James Version of the
bible. Underneath each verse in italics is my interpretation of what the
verse says, simplified for those of you that don't like Old English

Proverbs 18:24 - "A man that hath friends must shew himself friendly:
and there is a friend that sticketh closer than a brother."
*A person who wants friends must show themselves as being friendly.
There is a friend that sticks closer than a brother, too (Jesus).*
Proverbs 22:24-25 - "Make no friendship with an angry man; and with a
furious man thou shalt not go: Lest thou learn his ways and get a snare in
thy soul."
*Do not make close friends with an angry person. If you do, then
you are risking becoming like them. This verse doesn't mean to avoid
angry people, just not to get closely involved in a friendship with them.
And it is talking about people who are angry all the time, not just going
through natural emotions of anger.*
