The following verses are printed directly from the King James Version of the
bible. Underneath each verse in italics is my interpretation of what
the verse says, simplified for those of you that don't like Old English
Proverbs 6:16 - "These six things doth the Lord hate: yea, seven are
an abomination unto him: A proud look, a lying tongue, and hands that shed
innocent blood, an heart that deviseth wicked imaginations, feet that be
swift in running to mischief, a false witness that speaketh lies, and he
that soweth discord among bretheren."
*There are six things the Lord hates. No, there are seven things
that are an abomination to Him. Being overly proud of yourself, lying,
taking the life of an innocent, a heart that devises wicked plans to get
what it wants, causing mischief, lying about being somewhere and seeing
something when you were never there, someone who causes trouble between
others.*
Isaiah 1:18 - "Come now, and let us reason together, saith the
Lord: though your sins be as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though
they be red like crimson, they shall be as wool."
*Put matters right between you and God; allow Him to cleanse your
sins. Right now your sins are like a permanent red dye on your soul,
but once you give them over to God, He will clean you and make you new.*
Acts 3:19 - "Repent ye therefore, and be converted, that your sins
may be blotted out when the times of refreshing shall come from the presence
of the Lord"
*Ask for forgiveness of your sins from the Lord. He
will blot them out of your life. If you have truly become converted
then you will have a time of refreshing in your life of God.*
