The following verses are printed directly from the King James Version of the bible.  Underneath each verse in italics is my interpretation of what the verse says, simplified for those of you that don't like Old English

Proverbs 1:10 - "My son, if sinners entice the, consent thou not."

*If sinners ask you to partake in their sinful actions, don't do it.*

1 Corinthians 10:13 - "There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it."

*There is nothing you can be tempted by that hasn't tempted someone else before.  God is faithful and won't allow you to be tempted beyond what you can bear.  He will always make a way out so you can resist the temptation.*

Galatians 6:1 - "Bretheren, if a man be overtaken in a fault, ye which are spiritual, restore such an one in the spirit of meekness; considering thyself, lest thou also be tempted."

*If a fellow Christian falls into sin then it is up to us people that are still Christians to try and bring him back to the Lord.  This must be done with a humble spirit, and you must take care not to fall into the same sin.*

Ephesians 6:10 - "Finally, my bretheren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of His might."

*When you feel weak, know that you can lean on God and use His strength to overcome any difficulty.*

James 1:12 - "Blessed is the man that endureth temptation: for when he is tried, he shall receive the crown of life, which the Lord hath promised to them that love him."

*Blessed are the people that can endure temptation without sinning.  Once they have accomplished this they will receive the crown of life (a gift given to you after your judgment) which the Lord has promised to everyone that loves and follows Him.

2 Peter 2:9 - "The Lord knoweth how to deliver the Godly out of temptations, and to reserve the unjust unto the day of judgment to be punished."

*God knows how to keep Godly men from temptation and how to leave the ungodly until the day of judgment when they will be punished.*
